According to history, Woon’s surname is originated from Chou Dynasty’s Ji Fa family (周朝姬昌公家族).
Ji Song was crowned as King Cheng (姬成公即周成王 reigned 1115BC to 1078BC), the second King of the Zhou Dynasty (1134BC to 256BC). King Cheng delegated authority to his younger brother named Tang Shu Yu (号赐温唐) to be the ruler of the district which he named it as Tang. Tang Shu Yu was known as Jin Hou.

In 140-87 BC, the king of Emperor Wu (汉武帝) & Wen’s descent have fled to Hanzhou of Zhejiang Province. Many years later, next generation of Wen, Qiao Gong (峤公) has join force with General Sima to restore the Jing Dynasty (晋朝).

Between 874 to 880 BC, most of the Qiao Gong (峤公) next generation have migrated to southern part of China - Fukien, Guang Dong, Kwangsi and different country to settle down.

Therefore, from historical records, we can be sure that the original ancestors of Woon’s family was Ji Yu Gong (姬虞公) & Qiao Gong at the South. We should always remember these 2 great ancestor name, because this will help us to remember where we come from & the history of Woon’s surname.
