1965 - Asthma attack

I started to have my asthma attack when I was five years old.
During the attacks, my airways became constricted.
Lying down to sleep will cause me to choke violently.
My mum will take me to 7 1/2 miles market clinic (a 40-mins journey by bus) to get medication.
Normally I will recover within 5 days from medication.

I can remember one time when I was in Secondary One at Dunearn Secondary School.
It is a 15-mins walk from the bus-stop to the school at Bukit Timah Road.
When I had my asthma attack, I would walk twenty steps and had to sit down for a rest to recover my breath. The tedious walk became a 30 mins walk.

My last asthma attack was when I was 30-plus years old.
Seems like as you grew older, the asthma attacks became less frequent.

My two brothers did not have asthma.
My three sons did not have asthma.
