My first day at Boon Lay School
- Boon Lay School is located around 13.8 miles stone
- There is a major wet market at the main road with a bus stop
- Between Boon Lay School and my Old Jurong Home is the large field with tall broadcasting antennas
- Sometimes, we walk to and back from school (if we miss the school bus) - about 30 mins walk along the small two-lanes road
- As you enter the one-storey school compound, the school building entrance is located in the center of the school, passing the principal office on the right and a large fish aquarium on the left
- The school is in a H-shape format with a connected Toilet building (Bucket system) and a school canteen
- A large grassy field lies next to the H-Building where sports days are held
Boon Lay School Badge and Report Book
A popular game played in the large grassy field is marbles. Students will bring their marbles and tries to smash each other marbles into pieces. Sometime, a student will bring a six inches homemade marble to smash all the smaller marbles to pieces. One of my favorite marbles is a smooth half inch well made light brown hard marble. Has served me well for long periods until it was split by other larger marbles
