7:10 AM
Left home and walked to Jurong East MRT Station. We grabbed breakfast at Kopitiam before boarding Bus 160 at 7:45 AM for our trip to Johor Bahru.

8:30 AM
The journey took about 45 minutes to reach the Singapore immigration checkpoint at Woodlands Checkpoint.

Thousands of travellers were packed into the hall like sardines, and we slowly inched forward toward the 20-plus automated passport gates.

It took around 45 mins to clear immigration.

After that, we made a quick restroom stop and boarded Bus 160 again to cross the Causeway.

9:30 AM
We arrived at the spacious Johor immigration hall at Sultan Iskandar Building, where more than 20 manual counters were operating.

We joined the massive queues and, after nearly two hours of standing, finally cleared Malaysian immigration at 11:30 AM.

11:45 AM
We crossed over into Johor Bahru City Square, where festive stalls were already bustling with Chinese New Year goodies and treats.

As we had a light breakfast, we decided to have lunch first.

We came across Dragon Palace on the 3rd floor and decided to try their Peking Duck signature dish.

We were given two options:
a) Order half of the Peking Duck, but have to wait up to 45 mins for another customer to order the other half, or
b) Order the whole Peking Duck and can be serve immediately (which we selected to save time).
