Stayed at The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi and set out for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal.

We left the hotel at 3:00 AM and arrived at the Taj Mahal around 7:00 AM, just in time to catch the first light of dawn.

The Destination: Taj Mahal

Significance: Commissioned in 1632 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, it remains a UNESCO World Heritage site and a masterpiece of Indo-Islamic architecture.

Architecture: The ivory-white marble structure is renowned for its perfect symmetry, intricate gemstone inlays, and its massive dome, which appears to subtly change color with the daylight.

Setting: The monument is framed by a traditional Persian-style Charbagh garden, divided into four quadrants by stone paths and reflecting pools that enhance the sense of divine order and tranquility.
