Responded to an advertisement for a part-time role in maintaining a computer system
The Boss is the owner of an Italian marble factory in Singapore, living with his Hong Kong wife and 3 daughters.
Stayed at International Plaza 35th floor private apartment.
He has numerous computer systems (S-100 based) and needed to connect them for file transfer via RS-232 cable interface.
I studied the technical manual provided and managed to buy spare parts from Sim Lim Tower to build the cables needed.
Learned alot on RS-232 interfaces (like on cross-linking the connections for transmitting and receiving) and the unique CP/M Operating system.
